Aceh Tujuh Next to Jakarta is Bandung, a city known for its Dutch colonial period character and the strong art deco heritage. I had the opportunity to design the branding for a dessert souvenir from the city “Aceh Tujuh” named after its kitchen address at Aceh No. 7, Bandung.

The branding needs to hold what a souvenir really means – holding the essence of a place & the warmth of sharing it with others. That warmth brought me back to a personal memory of the Dutch-style lace tablecloth on my favorite grandmother’s home table, where I used to share many meals and stories with her over the weekends.
At the same time I kept returning to the visual language of Bandung itself with the curved street lamps, the soft geometry of doors and windows, and all the small details from the colonial era buildings that shape the city.
